Getting Here

By Bus and Train

You can reach us by public transport, via Abergavenny or Cardiff.  Direct trains from London Paddington to Cardiff, then the T4 bus to Brecon, or change trains at Newport for Abergavenny, then take the X43 bus.

Make sure you check timetables carefully for Sunday and Bank Holiday travel as service is very limited.  If you need collecting from the station we can arrange this for a low price.

By Road

From the M4 cross the Severn Bridge (now FREE!) heading for Newport and South Wales.  Turn off at junction 24 (in front of Celtic Manor) and follow Monmouth A449, then turn off on the A40 to Abergavenny and Brecon.  This way is quicker than J25 via Cwmbran which has lots more traffic and roundabouts.

From M5 take the M50 to Ross on Wye, then A 40 Monmouth, Abergavenny, Brecon.

Parking

It is normally easy to park for free overnight directly opposite the front of the cafe in a parking bay.  If you need to leave the car all day, we can show you a quiet street round the back, but it is best to unload out the front.

EV charging

We can give you access to a socket for overnight charging from a parking space by our garage at the back of our property.  We will charge the average home charge rate depending on price per kWh at the time.

By Bicycle

You can cycle from Cardiff on the Taff trail, or from Abergavenny along the “Cycle Across the Beacons” route, or along the canal towpath from Govilon (south of Abergavenny). We are also on Sustrans Route 8, (The Lon Las Cymru) if coming from mid Wales.
