The wisteria and other plants at the front are looking good.
It started warm and sunny, so it was biking in shorts with a fine view of the mountains. A lovely route away from the main roads, and a fantastic tea and cake stop in Defynnog – what a great way to welcome in the season.

Too hot for some, but if you include a swim in your walk or bike ride, the water is always refreshing. My favourite spot is Llyn Cwm Llwch, but the Usk river just upstream from Brecon is pretty good too.
It has been a cold winter, but April and May are lovely times to explore the Beacons, with fresh green leaves emerging, and birds singing in the hedgerows. Here are a few pics taken at that time of year.
My afternoon run started a bit misty and dull, but I thought it looked more interesting higher up, so I decided to climb to the trig point at Fan Frynych. It was worth it when I got to the top.
Not much sign of snow this week, but after a cold and misty start the sun broke through and made for a beautiful afternoon.
